This is the 57th instalment of our first impression video series. Today, we are playing Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition for the first time.

Welcome to the 57th instalment of our first impression video series. Today, we are playing the Steam game, Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition for the first time. You can check out the video directly on YouTube or in the embed below:

Initially, I was going to record the tutorial mode thinking that such a mode would give you a good idea of what the game is like. Unfortunately, the party got stuck on the starting position. No matter what I did, I couldn’t make my way up the stairs to continue. So, thinking that a few dialogue screens and me messing with the game wasn’t the greatest. So, I recorded the game again in the main game mode instead. This is what I ended up seeing for the first 10 minutes.

For those of you who have played the game, what did you think of this game? Was it a great game or not so much? Since this is an enhanced edition of a 1998 game, is the enhanced edition better or did you prefer the original one?

For those of you who haven’t played this game, does this look like something that might be of interest to you? Is the isometric perspective an interesting one for a turn based RPG game? Maybe it’s too oldschool for you? Let us know in the comments below!

This video is part of our first impression video series. Below is a list of previously made first impression video’s we’ve made in the past:
