Review: Assemblage 23 – Crosstalk (EBM) Drew Wilson | July 29, 2015 This review covers the EBM track Assemblage 23 – Crosstalk. This track was released in 2012 on the album Bruise. One interesting element is the lyrics. Essentially, it’s a criticism towards mass propaganda where the truth is getting lost. The lyrics are definitely very well developed. The vocals are interesting as it’s sort of a cross between talking and singing. While ordinarily, I would say it was decent, but nothing special, in this case, the vocals are very fitting given the subject of the lyrics. So, I actually have no complaints on this element. The synths throughout are nicely done. It’s mostly the effects that really make this track interesting to listen to. The overall melody was there, but it isn’t the emphasis here after the beginning. Overall, I thought this was a very nicely done track. The lyrics are well done and the vocals are quite fitting for the subject. The synths were also nicely done. So, overall, this track gets a thumbs up from me. Score 7.5/10 Drew Wilson on Twitter: @icecube85 and Google+.
