Review: Interface – Stateless (Single Version) (EBM) Drew Wilson | January 23, 2017 This review covers the EBM track Interface – Stateless (Single Version). This track was released in 2014 on the Stateless EP. That EP also features 5 other versions and the track I Don’t Dream Anymore. One great thing about this track is the main melody. While it is a very simple synth, it actually makes it quite catchy. The synth chords really helped give this track a very full sound. So, that gets a thumbs up from me. The lyrics were actually quite well written. It works very well in providing a rather solitary rogue feeling. The vocals were a bit 50/50 for me. on the one hand, they have their own unique sound which really helps set this track apart from others. On the other hand, I’m not sure I’m a huge fan of how they ultimately sound. Still, the overall flow of this track was well-realized. Not entirely sure about the inclusion of the false ending though. It probably should have been a real ending because the added section doesn’t necessarily add a whole lot to the overall sound. Overall, I thought this was a pretty good track. It had a great simple melody, nice lyrics, and the synth chords were nicely done. Not sure how I think about the vocals or the false ending, but I think it’s a track that’s still worth listening to.
