I got your nomination for this month. This month, you chose The Evil Within as the review you’d like to see early.
One of the things I’ve done over the years is to take mental notes on games I see crop up as recommendation from one source or another. This is because I didn’t have access to, at the time, modern games, but knew that at some point, I’d finally start playing games again. In this case, I don’t know where I saw this game being recommended, but I think it was some sort of retrospective list of games somewhere along the lines.
So, while I was browsing the games for what seemed like a good pick to at least try, I saw this game crop up. It had an unusual sleeve to house the box itself. This meant that the bottom got chewed up since it was tight to the case, but nevertheless, I did ultimately get a chance to play it. After playing this game, I’m not sure why it was brought up in the first place, but from what I experienced, it didn’t live to whatever hype was pushed for this game in the first place. Still, I’m glad I got the chance to play this one as I was able to satisfy a small amount of curiosity anyway.
