First Impression: Diablo IV (XBox X)

Welcome to the 248th instalment of our first impression video series. Today, we are playing the XBox X game, Diablo IV for the first time. You can check out the video directly on YouTube or in the embed below:

I’m finally rounding out my knowledge of the Diablo series thanks to having played the previous instalments. It all leads me to this title which is, at least as of this recording, the latest major instalment in this franchise. The best part is knowing I won’t need a cell phone to play it, so, score!

One thing that I did notice was that this game definitely felt like it was moving back to the older style in some senses. For instance, the character development tree is back after briefly being replaced by what was in the previous game. So, that was interesting to see.

What’s more, the look and feel of the game is very familiar even though the graphical style has improved greatly over the first two games. For me, this represents a positive sign that this is going to be a good game because the previous games had a great overall feel to them. So, I’m definitely looking forward to getting further into this game.
