First Impression: Battlefield V (XBox One)

Welcome to the 207th instalment of our first impression video series. Today, we are playing the XBox One game, Battlefield V for the first time. You can check out the video directly on YouTube or in the embed below:

I haven’t necessarily been a huge fan of the Battlefield games – at least the later entries. Sure, Bad Company was actually a pretty good game, but most of the other games haven’t exactly been the most exciting for me. In fact, I had to look up my own review on the last game because I struggled to remember what that game was a bout.

Nevertheless, I’m keeping an open mind and trying other games in this series anyway despite other games being less than thrilling for me.

Indeed, this game, at least in the beginning, had a lot of similarities to Battlefield 1. It has multiple scenes you play through at the beginning and you get to play through the eyes of multiple different army perspectives. It did feel a little overwhelming at first, but I was able to get through it at least.

Either way, I’m going to be curious to see how this game plays moving forward from here.

For those who have played this game before, what did you think of this one? Was this a really great instalment to the franchise or were you left disappointed with what you ended up getting?
