Feature Upgrade: Video Game Reviews Index

Freezenet announces an upgrade to the video game reviews section index page. With this update, that section has now reached 1.0 status.

Today, we announce an upgrade to the video games section of our website. This upgrade works with all of your old favourites or bookmarks as well!

Now, you’ll notice that our video game index page has received a major face lift. Instead of listing every single video game we’ve reviewed in one large page, we have subdivided this list into smaller groupings (by release year on a span of 5 years). This should improve navigation and, to a minor extent, website response times.

Each page also has its own mini-navigation links as well to make browsing as easy a possible.

While it was easy to simply continue to update a single page over the years, as time went on, it became harder and harder to manage, update, and, edit such a large file. As the list grew longer and longer, it just proved to get bulkier and uglier. As such, we decided that a sleeker cleaner interface was needed.

With that, our video game reviews section has, in our view, reached 1.0 status and is no longer in beta.
