As the Trump/ICE Civil War on Minneapolis Continues, Tim Walz Mobilizes National Guard

The assault on Minneapolis by the Trump administration is continuing, but lawmakers are putting the National Guard on standby to try and restore order.

The cold blooded murder of Renee Good of the criminal ICE agents was by no means the ceiling for tensions in the state, it was only the beginning. The Trump administration saw what happened, getting a taste of blood in the process. In response? They wanted more blood of Americans to flow on the city streets.

While American citizens protested, demanding that ICE leave, Trump opted to do everything he could to further inflame the situation. First, he ordered more ICE agents into the city streets to further the ICE riots. From ABC:

US Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem says hundreds more federal agents are heading to Minneapolis, brushing aside demands by the city’s Democratic leaders to leave after an immigration officer fatally shot a female protester.

In multiple television interviews, Ms Noem defended the actions of the officer who shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good, whose death has sparked renewed protests nationwide against US President Donald Trump’s aggressive immigration crackdown.

Ms Noem reiterated her claim that Ms Good’s actions in the Midwestern city on Wednesday amounted to “domestic terrorism,” and that the agent acted in self-defence when he fatally shot Ms Good in her car.

Another thing the sick fucks at the Trump administration did was to demand an investigation into Good’s wife. This in a petty act of political revenge. From NBC:

Federal officials are investigating the partner of Renee Nicole Good to determine whether she may have impeded a federal officer moments before he shot and killed Good in Minneapolis, according to two people familiar with the investigation who spoke to NBC News.

The federal investigation into the shooting by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer Jonathan Ross is focusing more on Becca Good, including what officials said were her possible ties to activist groups, and less on Ross’ actions when he fired into Renee Good’s vehicle during an immigration operation last week, the people said.

The fatal encounter has touched off protests in Minneapolis and calls for accountability for immigration officers, whose tactics have resulted in at least 10 other shootings since September.

As far as the evidence is concerned, it appears that Good’s partner is being “investigated” for the crime of being a witness to ICE crime and being at the scene of the crime.

Of course, it wasn’t the Good family that Trump is targeting. It’s the entire city for not 100% supporting the fascist regime. To further demonstrate that this is a war perpetrated by the Trump regime, Trump also said that he intends on invoking the Insurrection Act – an act the mainstream media did what they could to justify in their coverage. From the BBC:

US President Donald Trump has threatened to invoke the rarely used Insurrection Act to quell unrest over federal immigration enforcement operations in Minneapolis.

He raised the prospect of sending in troops following a night of protests and vandalism in the Minnesota city after an agent shot a man in the leg.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said an officer opened fire after he was attacked by three Venezuelan nationals with a shovel and broom handle.

Tensions have been running high in Minneapolis since an immigration agent fatally shot Renee Nicole Good, 37, last week, sparking nationwide protests.

On top of all of this, the Trump regime demanded a probe into the governor and the mayor for the crime of governing while Democrat. From the CBC:

The U.S. Justice Department is investigating whether Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey have impeded federal immigration enforcement through public statements they have made, according to two people familiar with the matter.

The investigation focused on potential violation of a conspiracy statute, the people said.

The people spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss a pending investigation by name.

CBS News first reported the investigation.

In response to reports of the investigation, Walz said in a statement: “Two days ago it was Elissa Slotkin. Last week it was Jerome Powell. Before that, Mark Kelly. Weaponizing the justice system and threatening political opponents is a dangerous, authoritarian tactic.”

The attempt to “investigate” both is widely seen as a political one for reasons that should be obvious. From The Independent:

Walz and Frey have fiercely pushed back against the surge in remarks to Minnesotans, which the administration alleges has prevented officers from doing their jobs.

Former federal prosecutor Elie Honig has also cast doubt on the Justice Department’s case.

“DOJ has lost its damn mind,” Honig told CNN. “If you have public officials, as we do here, making political speech, even if it’s explosive, inflammatory, aggressive, and then that causes people to protest, or to call 9-1-1, that is simply not obstruction of justice … If they bring an indictment for obstruction, I promise you, they will lose.”

The problem is that the US has long left the world of law and order. It is now a lawless state where anything goes thanks to the Trump regime breaking every legal norm down and effectively seizing control of absolute power. If the fascist Trump regime wants to “investigate” you, they will. They will do everything they can to create a sham process over obvious BS claims and ensure that you will be thrown in jail and replace you with a Trump lackey to carry out the further spread of fascism in the country. This is the insanity that we are living in now.

Minnesota Governor, Tim Walz, isn’t just sitting back and letting chaos reign on the city streets at the hands of ICE, though. Walz says he is mobilizing the National Guard to try and bring the temperature down. From CNN:

Tensions are flaring in Minneapolis as protestors decrying ICE and its agents’ use of force face off with federal law enforcement and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz mobilizes the state National Guard to stand ready to assist.

CNN notes that US citizens are also being rounded up as well:

CNN saw several protesters detained by federal law enforcement near the federal building, though the protest appeared largely peaceful and it’s not immediately clear why they were detained or what preceded the detentions. CNN has reached out to the Department of Homeland Security for comment.

Amidst all of this, the situation on the streets is, unsurprisingly, chaotic thanks to ICE rioting hard on the streets. A disabled woman was forcibly dragged out of her vehicle and tackled to the ground for the crime of being present. From CBC:

In the video, one masked agent smashes Rahman’s passenger side window while others cut her seatbelt and drag her out of the car through the driver’s side door. Numerous guards then carried her by her arms and legs toward an ICE vehicle.

“I’m disabled trying to go to the doctor up there, that’s why I didn’t move,” Rahman says, gesturing down the street as officers pull her arms behind her back.

Rahman was caught in a “terrible and confusing position” and had “nowhere to go,” according to Alexa Van Brunt, Rahman’s attorney and director of the MacArthur Justice Center.

“Her only options were to move her car forward in the direction of ICE officers and risk being accused of trying to harm them — which led to Renee Good’s death — or stay stationary, which in the end led to physical violence and abuse,” Van Brunt wrote in a statement, referring to the shooting death of a Minneapolis woman by an ICE agent last week.

In another video, someone was tackled by gleeful DHS agents down to the ground for the crime of dancing.

ICE agents also opened fire with flashbangs and tear gas on a van with children in it, sending some to hospital including a 6 month old baby. From BIN News:

Three children, including a 6-month-old baby, were hospitalized on Wednesday (January 14) after a Minneapolis family said officers hit their vehicle with tear gas and flash bang munitions amid anti-ICE demonstrations.

The incident occurred amid protests following the shooting of a man by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent during a traffic stop. Federal officials said the man resisted arrest, a claim disputed by protesters who quickly gathered at the scene.

Shawn Jackson said he was driving home with his wife, Destiny Jackson, and their six children when law enforcement deployed crowd-control munitions near their van. Jackson said a flash bang detonated close enough to set off the vehicle’s airbags and that tear gas filled the interior.

“Officers threw flash bangs and tear gas in my car. I got six kids in the car,” Jackson told FOX 9. “My 6-month-old can’t even breathe. My car filled with tear gas — I’m trying to pull my kids from the car.”

Schools and day cares are also apparently not safe. From Star Tribune:

Families with children enrolled in Spanish immersion day cares learned on Jan. 7 that a teacher had been taken into ICE custody as she was about to start work.

Several Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in tactical gear removed the teacher from her car directly outside of a Jardin Spanish Immersion Academy branch in Minneapolis, according to bystander video viewed by the Minnesota Star Tribune.

Parents who were dropping off their children pulled to the side of the road and blew whistles to alert others about the detainment.

The Star Tribune has not verified the teacher’s identity, but several parents confirmed she was detained and had not yet been released. They created a GoFundMe page to help with her legal efforts.

ICE agents also have detained several day care employees authorized to work in the U.S., their employers said in emails to parents. They also have staged operations near child care centers.

The shift has alarmed lawmakers and parents, who say people entrusted to care for children are being swept up in the Trump administration’s focus on fraud in Minnesota.

Day care attendance has dropped as a result, day care organizers said at a recent news conference. The immigration enforcement actions have prompted parents to raise money for at-risk staff and stand watch for ICE outside their child care centers.

Other civilians are also being approached by Trumps stooges and demanding proof of citizenship documents. From NBC News:

The officers and agents the Trump administration has unleashed in Minneapolis and nearby communities have turned to stopping U.S. citizens, apparently at random, demanding identification and grilling them about their citizenship, residents who have recorded these encounters on video say.

The “show me your papers” encounters are showing up on social media and have even prompted podcaster Joe Rogan, a Trump backer in the 2024 campaign, to ask, “Are we really going to be the Gestapo?”

One man, Gage Diego Garcia, said he was held for six hours on Monday in Columbia Heights, Minnesota, after an encounter with officers that he told NBC News began when he was leaning into his friend’s car in an alleyway.

“They came off pretty aggressive and asking for my ID. I refused because I had done nothing wrong,” Garcia said. He said that, as he started to blow a whistle draped around his neck, agents “got angry and grabbed him.”

Video recorded by a friend shows officers pushing Garcia onto the side of a car and pointing a Taser at him. The video does not show what happened before the officers grabbed Garcia. Garcia told NBC News later that officers grabbed him when he was trying to blow his whistle and an officer accused him of committing assault by spitting at him.

“All I needed was your f—ing ID,” a masked officer said. Garcia responds to the officer using expletives. The officer responds, “You’re a f—ing b— and you are gonna learn the f—ing hard way.”

So, yeah, the US is, in fact, going full gestapo with the “fun” threat of a worsening civil war. Of course, all of this is being done to punish political opponents and little else. You either vote for Trump or officials are sent in to cause riots and chaos on the streets. It is, without a question, full blown oppression happening in real time. I honestly don’t know where the heck this is all headed, but I can definitely say that things are already very ugly. This with seemingly no end in sight.
