This is the 54th instalment of our first impression video series. Today, we are playing Grid 2 for the first time.

Welcome to the 54th instalment of our first impression video series. Today, we are playing the Playstation 3 game, Grid 2 for the first time. You can check out the video directly on YouTube or in the embed below:

For those of you who have experienced this racing game before, you might note that we are a little further ahead into the game then you would expect. Truth be told, we actually recorded a first impression video from the very start of the game. The problem is that once you finish a race and a practice track, the game throws you into a login credential screen. We figured that 2 minutes of login screen was, well, boring. So, in the interest of keeping this video interesting, we finished our first take, plugged in our login credentials, then started a second first impression video right after.

For what it’s worth, I’m glad I did because I got to talk about general idea’s of how to handle messing up in a racing game. So, I thought that was something nice to add to the video that otherwise wouldn’t come into existence. Yeah, it’s not quite as pure from a first impression perspective, but you got a nicer video out of the deal.

So, what did you think of this racing series? Is it a good one to get in to or not so great? Is this a good instalment to start this series off with or were there better ones to play first?

For those who haven’t played this game, what did you think of this video? Is the flashback feature an interesting concept? Is this something you might be interested in playing or is this just another par for the course racing game in your view? Let us know in the comments below!

This video is part of our first impression video series. Below is a list of previously made first impression video’s we’ve made in the past:
