Review: Prototype-A – Let Go (Rock) Drew Wilson | January 9, 2017 This review covers the rock track Prototype-A – Let Go. This track was released in 2009 on the album The Evolving Paradigm. While this track does start with some synth elements, it doesn’t take long to realize that this is definitely a rock track. The guitars are definitely great. They hit some of the lower notes, but it works really well. The vocals work very well. The lyrics were pretty interesting as well. The fusion of electronic sound and rock worked very well. It provided a rather unique listening experience that was quite enjoyable. One thing I wasn’t a huge fan of was some of the mastering. When the synth hit part way through the track, the hi-hats on the drumkit were almost completely drowned out. I thought the track could be improved in some small way by a little re-work on that section. Beyond that, I can’t think of anything I dislike about this track and this was a rather small issue in my view. Still, this was definitely the best rock track I’ve heard come from 2009 to date. The fusion of electronica into a rock track worked quite well. While there was a bit of a trip-up on the mastering part way through, it still had good vocals and lyrics along with great guitars. A great track as far as I’m concerned. Score 8/10 Drew Wilson on Twitter: @icecube85 and Google+.
