Review: Nitrogenetics – Pledge of Resistance (Gabber Hardcore) Drew Wilson | October 4, 2014 By Drew Wilson This review covers the gabber hardcore track Nitrogenetics – Pledge of Resistance. This particular track was released in 2008 along with a remix and the track “my enemy”. The track starts off with some chopped vocal samples, but eventually gets to a larger sample that was taken from the poem: Saul Williams – Not In Our Name. The original poem was written mostly as a response to the George W. Bush administration. The portions taken from the poem in this track retain a lot of those criticisms. While a large portion of the track does revolve around the poem, there is a lot also going on this track that makes this worth listening to. There’s a good melody in this track as well as a number of good electronic synths and choir sounds going on. Personally, I thought this was a great track. The way it was produced makes it worth listening to. It doesn’t hinge on one really good sample even though there is a larger one found in here – though the poem samples did make this track quite an interesting one. It has a good melody and has a good production value. A thumbs up from me.
