Review: Mind.in.a.Box – Amnesia (Club Mix) (Synth Pop) Drew Wilson | July 4, 2016 This review covers the synth pop track Mind.in.a.box – Amnesia (Club Mix). This track was released in 2008 as part of a promotional extension found in an album called Crossroads. A major element of this track is definitely the filtered female vocals. The way they are delivered, especially in the main chorus, really makes this track catchy. They add a lot of rhythm to this track. The downside to the vocals is that they sometimes get drowned out in the midst of the other sounds. The main melody works quite well in this track. The synth does duck in and out of the track, but it works quite well. The additional synth does add a nice rhythm throughout the track. The synthetic effects that were added did give the track an interesting audio texture (namely the string and the high frequency effects). Overall, I thought this was a great track. The vocals were interesting because of the filtered sound. The main melody and the other synthetic sounds added to the effects worked quite well. It even has its catchy moments. Only downside is that the vocals do sometimes get a little bit buried in the other sounds, but this track still gets a thumbs up from me. Score 8/10 Drew Wilson on Twitter: @icecube85 and Google+.
