Review: Mariah Carey – Vision of Love (Pop) Drew Wilson | July 27, 2016 This review covers the pop track Mariah Carey – Vision of Love. This track was released in 1990 on a self-titled album. One of the big elements of this track was definitely the vocals. I thought the vocals really showed that there was some serious talent going on. Unfortunately, the lyrics just seemed really generic. Nothing in the lyrics really stands out to me. The mastering was well done. Everything sat nicely in the track. The downside is that some of the elements in the instruments does seem dated to me. To add to that, the instruments throughout the track have nothing that make this a standout track. In spite of great vocals and great mastering, this track ends up falling flat for me. I can’t really find anything in this track that actually makes this track stand out to me. Maybe this track falls a bit too far outside of my tastes in music, but this track is really quite average and forgettable. Score 5.5/10 Drew Wilson on Twitter: @icecube85 and Google+.
