Review: Iris – Wayseer (Synth-Pop) Drew Wilson | September 13, 2017 This review covers the synth-pop track Iris – Wayseer. This track was released in 2014 on the album Radiant. One thing that stands out in this track is the fact that it is much more relaxed. As a result, the track has a bit of an ambient touch to it. There is a general synth melody throughout, but it serves as more of a way to move the track along and provide mood as opposed to blasting something out at you. This actually works well for this particular track. Another stand out element are the vocals. They hit the somewhat lower notes. This, in a way, makes the track more relaxing. The filtering that was applied from time to time also gives them a nice texture. The lyrics were rather interesting as well. They talk about wanting to know what is ahead in time. Generally speaking, I’m really liking the vibes in this track. It has a very well produced chilled sound overall where there were definitely influences from ambient music. The vocals can be rather hypnotic and the lyrics were interesting. All this made for a great listening experience. Score 8/10 Drew Wilson on Twitter: @icecube85 and Google+.
