Review: Hoobastank – Crawling in the Dark (Rock) Drew Wilson | November 30, 2015 This review covers the rock track Hoobastank – Crawling in the Dark. This track was released in 2001 on a self-titled album. The overall emotion portrayed in this track is the feeling of being lost and desperation. This is found through the lyrics. The vocals were pretty good throughout the track. Nothing too much to complain about here. The guitars had strengths and weaknesses. There was a good variety throughout the track. They also had some good cinematic effects throughout the main chorus. The weakness, for me, is the fact that they were so strong, they almost overpower the rest of the track. They threatened to drown out the vocals and some of the drums is almost completely drowned out. This track would have been given a great rating, but the mastering was, unfortunately, not that great. So, a bit was deducted for that. Otherwise, it was a pretty good track. Score 7/10 Drew Wilson on Twitter: @icecube85 and Google+.
