Review: Ferry Corsten – We Belong (Original Extended) (Progressive Trance) Drew Wilson | June 29, 2014 By Drew Wilson This review covers the progressive (and vocal) track Ferry Corsten – We Belong (Original Extended). This particular track was released in 2009 along with numerous other mixes and remixes. What really stands out in this track is the way the vocals sound. There is a very distinct filter that was put on them along with a subtle reverb. I suspect that this is a simple equalizer filter, but I’m not entirely sure. In any event, it really helps make the vocals sound different than your standard fare vocal trance track. I personally thought it was well done. The lyrics were definitely nicely done as well. The melodies are simple, yet chopped up. some of which is apparently sampled from the Fun Fun track Happy Station from 1983. Even though it’s sampled, it was re-used and made into something different and original. The effects and the arrangement really helped move this track along. Overall, I thought this track was a very well done track. Certainly worth listening to.
