Review: Total Science & MC Conrad – Soul Patrol (Drum N Bass)

By Drew Wilson

This review covers the drum n bass track Total Science & MC Conrad – Soul Patrol.

This particular track was released in 2006 along with a dub mix.

This particular track is an interesting blend between soul and drum n bass. Despite the generally aggressive nature of drum n bass, the soul really tones this nature down in such a way that this is actually a more chilled out tune. There’s the light vocals and the brass instruments that seem to help make this a moving track.

I think this track is really good escape music. If you’ve had a rough day, for instance, and you want a small quick way to just get away from it all, I would say throw this track on and kick back and relax. It’s not necessarily one of those tracks you find an immediately recognizable melody or anything, but it is one of those tracks that is generally pleasant to listen to.

Overall, I consider this a very good track. It’s relaxing even though it is drum n bass music. There is definitely a good place for this particular track.

7.5/10
