Review: Q-Project – Silicon Mistress (Drum N Bass) Drew Wilson | October 15, 2014 By Drew Wilson This review covers the drum n bass track Q-Project – Silicon Mistress. This track was released in 2006 on the Computer Love E.P. What really stands out is the bassline which seems to have multiple kinds of resonance. There is also, of course, the vocal samples that were liberally applied throughout the track. It ends with a synthesized voice sample that makes it sound like this track ends with a video game. Probably my only critique of this track is that it goes from one particular sound to the voice sample and simply goes back and forth a few times. It successfully strives to be quite good, but it doesn’t strive to be an absolutely fantastic track. I’m left thinking this was one of those slightly less ambitious tracks. Still, that doesn’t detract from the positive vibes one can get from this track. It’s a simple, fun, and uplifting track. As a result, I would say that this is a very good track. Quite enjoyable.
