Top 10 Best Music Reviewed in 2019

This is our final top 10 for the year 2019. Today, we count down the top 10 best music tracks we’ve heard all year.

For music reviews, 2019 is an interesting year. For the first time in a long time, an RIAA track made the list – and made it surprisingly high on top of it all.

Another interesting factor is the fact that there weren’t enough tracks that scored 8.5 or higher to fill the list. As we previously mentioned, we are currently reviewing the early 90’s, so that did play a role in that. So, at this point in time, we should mention that there is a rule about these lists.

Any track that scores 8/10 or higher is technically eligible for the list. However, only tracks that score 8.5/10 or higher can make an honourable mention here. As a result, if there are 8’s making the list, then the last few open spots can get quite crowded as there are fewer available slots. Believe me, it was hard trying to determine not only the order, but what tracks will make the list because these are all very close ones. So, after some careful thinking, we’ve concluded that the following tracks managed to make the list this year:

10. Above & Beyond Feat. Alex Vargas – Blue Sky Action (Above & Beyond Club Mix)

(Commercial)
The track that made the list by a hair. After fending off some pretty impressive candidates, this track manages to impress with refreshing vocals and great melodies. A real uplifting track to say the least.
8/10

9. 4 REEEL – Highs Off U (Scorccio XY Mix)

(Free Streaming)
A great track that blends female hip hop vocals and a NU NRG sound. Famous for the shorter version making its way to DDR arcade machines, this fuller version definitely holds its own.
8/10

8. The Qemists – Run You

(Commercial)
This drum n bass track successfully blends rock music and drum n bass. A winning recipe when done right as far as I’m concerned. Definitely a track that does a great job at capturing raw emotion thanks to some seriously powerful vocals.
8/10

7. Thomas Bergersen – Our Destiny

(Commercial)
A bit of a new style here on Freezenet. This track impresses us with some excellent neo classical sound truly worthy of the big screen. A very powerful track to say the least.
8/10

6. Wasted Penguinz – All For Nothing (Extended Version)

(Commercial)
This years best 8/10 track belongs to this hardstyle track. With great vocals, addicting synth melodies, and positive messaging, this track definitely impresses. What a great track!
8/10

5. Gigi D’Agostino – The Riddle (Original Mix)

(Commercial)
This track steps things up with cryptic lyrics that are oddly mesmerizing. The whistling really adds a nice sound to the overall track. With the additional synth melodies and great flow, this track is definitely one of the more addicting tracks around.
8.5/10

4. Starship Amazing – Bonk (You Got Bonked)

(Creative Commons/Pay What You Want)
Another new style of music here at Freezenet. This chiptune style track manages to capture a surprisingly upbeat emotion. With great flow and big variety, this track certainly deserves its spot here.
8.5/10

3. Psy’Aviah – Alone ft Lis van den Akker (Etasonic Vs Andre H Dance Extended DJ Edit)

(Commercial)
Making our way to the top 3, this track takes things to another level with great melodies and inspiring vocals. An excellent track to say the least.
9/10

2. Garfield – Cool Cat (Radio Mix)

(RIAA)
Marketing? Probably. RIAA? Shockingly. This good? Considering the satirical nature, shocking. It’s truly stunning how good this track wound up being, really.
9/10

1. Tritonal – GAMMA GAMMA (Ferry Radio Fix)

(Commercial)
This years winner blends trance and tribal sounds. This track features both enchanting and sexy vocals with excellent synth melodies. Wit great rhythm, this one manages to outshine all the rest. An excellent track to say the least.
9/10

Quite a mix of different styles this year. Definitely something I like to see. Well, that concludes this years top 10 lists. We hope you enjoyed reading them as much as we enjoyed making them. Here’s to another great year!
