Review: X-Plane – Flight To Desire (Trancy Rave Mix) (Trance)

This review covers the trance track X-Plane – Flight To Desire (Trancy Rave Mix).

This track was released in 1995 as part of a single.

The track starts with a piano and synth effect. A high hat then comes in. The rest of the trance drum kit then come into the track. The piano then drops out. An additional percussion comes into the track. An additional synth also comes into the track.

From there, some filtered choirs appear in the track. After that, the track drops again, leaving only the pads, piano, and some synth effects. The high hat comes back into the track. From there, the rest of the drum kit rejoins the track. Another synth rejoins the track with some automated filtering. An additional percussion enters the track.

After that, the track drops out, leaving only a bassline synth and some filtered choirs. Some high hats build the track back up as the trance drum kit makes a return. The piano also makes a return. Some elements then start to drop out as the track begins to break down. Large parts of the drum kit also drops out. The choir elements also drop out of the track. After that, the rest of the track just gradually fades out.

The choir elements with that stutter effect really gives this track a nice sounding quality to it. It really adds to the mystical mood this track portrays.

Another element I like is the piano. It really gives this track a nice melody that anchors a lot of the track into a central theme.

Additionally, the synth pads give this track a nice warmth. While it isn’t used throughout the entire track, where it is used helps a lot.

Overall, this is a very solid track. It has a nice stuttering choir element that gives this track a nice effect. The piano works quite well. Also, the synth pads give this track a nice warmth where used. So, a very solid track all around.
