Review: Ron Hagen & Pascal M – Riddles in the Sand (Omnia Remix) (Trance) Drew Wilson | December 28, 2016 This review covers the progressive trance track Ron Hagen & Pascal M – Riddles in the Sand (Omnia Remix). This track was released in 2009 along with the original mix. One prominent element in this track is definitely the guitar. The guitar in question really makes you think you are on some sort of tropical beach somewhere. This element also serves as the main melody throughout the track. The side-chained synth string helped give this track a nice rhythm. While not a huge part, it worked pretty well. The occasional synth notes that more or less complimented and, at times, mirrored the main melody, really worked in this tracks favor. It added a little extra to the track. The bassline was also a highlight for me. It was nice and fat, yet didn’t take over the whole track. It was there just to give this track a nice level of warmth. It worked quite well. Subtle low note choirs also helped make up some of the pads in this track. While barely audible, they helped add to the overall smoothness to the track. Generally speaking, I thought this was a pretty good track. It really makes me think of the beach, and also has a nice element of uplifting and energetic elements as well. A track certainly worth listening to. Score 7.5/10 Drew Wilson on Twitter: @icecube85 and Google+.
