Review: The Rembrandts – I’ll Be There For You (Pop)

This review covers the pop track The Rembrandts – I’ll Be There For You.

This track was released in 1995 as a single. It was made famous for being the theme song of the sitcom Friends – a comedy that was about as funny as watching paint dry.

The track starts with some guitars. A drum kit then comes in. After that, the vocals come in for a brief verse.

After that, the vocals take the track into the main chorus. From there, the vocals take the track into the next verse. The vocals then take the track into the main chorus again.

From there, the vocals take the track into another verse. The guitars change things up a bit. After that, there is a guitar solo.

After that, the vocals continue on with the chorus. From there, the vocals take the track into the main chorus. The vocals and guitar then lead the track out.

A problem with this track is that it seems artificially uplifting. This is especially so with the clap part way through the first part. While the vocals are decent enough, the way they sing out the lyrics just makes this track seem like it’s made out of plastic.

The guitars are alright, but nothing big.

Overall, this track does leave a bit to be desired. The artificial happiness in this track just makes me think of plastic somehow. The guitars are OK, but nothing huge. A pretty mediocre track all around.
