Review: Muffler – Snowflakes (Drum N Bass) Drew Wilson | January 31, 2018 This review covers the liquid drum n bass track Muffler – Snowflakes. This track was released in 2015 as a single. One prominent feature of this track is the piano. The portions with more chord-like notes can make this track invoke images of emptiness that tends to accompany general winter imagery. Other portions of the track with piano helped give the piano portions a little variety. The bassline was decent enough. It gave the track, strangely enough, a more calming effect to the track. The pads that waft in and out only added to this laid back sound. While the breakdown did offer promise of something exciting, the track merely gradually reverted back to the piano sounds found in the beginning. Because of this, there was that sense of repetition more than excitement. This is probably the weakest part of the track, unfortunately. Still, this was a pretty good track. It has a calming vibe to it through the pads and bassline. The piano portions did evoke some interesting imagery even if it got a little repetitive at times. I would say this is a track that you could add to a large playlist designated for relaxation and it would be a great addition. It may not be particularly memorable, but I say it was still worth the listen. A pretty good track all around. Score 7/10 Drew Wilson on Twitter: @icecube85 and Google+.
