Review: Katy Perry – Dark Horse (Pop) Drew Wilson | November 10, 2014 This review covers the pop track Katy Perry – Dark Horse. This track was released in 2013 as part of the album Prism. This track has a lot of stops and starts – though more stops than starts. The start was OK and the chorus was decent, but once you hit those verses, any momentum this track has is pretty much lost and all you hear is just a repetitive weird bass drum amidst the lyrics. While this track does end with the chorus, the chorus tries to go for that delay effect in the lyrics. Unfortunately, in this track, it doesn’t actually mesh to well and becomes mostly an audio mess. It clears up a little on the last lie or two, but I think it’s too little too late at that point. Overall, there are some positive elements in this track, but the weaknesses in this track simply took over in this track and became a real drag throughout. So, unfortunately, this track is simply not for me.
