Review: Jamie Berry – Twitch Ft. Rosie Rascal (Original Mix) (Electro Swing)

This review covers the electro swing track Jamie Berry – Twitch Ft. Rosie Rascal (Original Mix).

This track was released in 2014 as part of the album Grandiose.

The track starts with some filtered brass elements. These elements gradually fade in for a moment before the main kick and bassline is brought in.

When the drop hits, which is pretty early on in the track, the vocals come in. The track then builds up between instrumental sections and vocals. After this, the bridge hit. This is followed up by the main chorus. The main chorus, interestingly enough, doesn’t really have any real lyrics, but what is said compliments the overall rhythm quite well.

An instrumental section follows this. From there, the main chorus hits again. The track features an additional verse and a main chorus. After this, the track gradually fades out with the brass leading the track out.

One thing I like about this track is the fact that it plays up the concept of being lost in ones own thoughts nicely.

Another good thing about this track is the brass elements. This really gives this track a nice upbeat funky sound.

The only thing about this track is that there really isn’t much in here that gives the track a real wow factor. It’s good, it has good vibes, the vocals are nice, and the lyrics are interesting. I’m not sure there’s anything here that makes me jump up and down in excitement, though. It’s not to say that this track is bad in any way, it’s just that I can’t really put this track in with some of the most legendary tracks I’ve heard.

Still, it’s a pretty solid track. The vocals are nice, the brass is good, the lyrics are nicely thought up, and it’s got a decent flow to it. While not amazing, it’s still a worthwhile track to listen to.
