Review: Coldplay – Clocks (Rock) Drew Wilson | February 23, 2015 This review covers the alternative rock track Coldplay – Clocks. This track was released in 2001 on the album A Rush Of Blood To The Head. One thing that was immediately noticeable about this track right away was the piano at the beginning. This was backed by a very subtle bass guitar and some drums. When I hear this part, I thought that I would be in for a pretty decent track. Unfortunately, this would prove to be one of the only highlights of this tack for me. The lyrics made pretty much no sense whatsoever. I have no idea what the singer is singing about. The vocals, on the other hand, was decent. It wasn’t anything special, but they were decent. This track is barely even rock. There’s the inclusion of a bass guitar, but I don’t know if that automatically makes this track rock music. I really couldn’t classify it as anything else though, so I went ahead and stuck it in the rock genre even though it seems to be of a confused genre. Overall, there’s very little to praise about this track outside of the piano. The track came off as a decidedly very average track. It wasn’t absolutely horrible, but it wasn’t particularly memorable for me either. Ultimately, this track is a case of listen once at most and move on to something better.
