Review: Co.Ro. Featuring Taleesa – Because the Night (T.L.S. Mix) (House)

This review covers the house track Co.Ro. Featuring Taleesa – Because the Night (T.L.S. Mix).

This track was released in 1992 as part of a single.

The track starts off with a synth melody. High pitched vocals then make an appearance as a subtle synth bass wafts through the track. Additional vocals then join in on the track, going back and forth between the two types. A synth effect then ends the section.

The main vocals then come in for a first verse. After a somewhat longer note, the main verse then comes in. This is capped off with the back and forth vocals with the rest of the track breaking down again.

In the next section, the vocals then take the track into the next verse. After this, the vocals take the track into the next round in the main chorus with some backup vocals. This is also backed by some subtle keys as well. This section is capped off with a synth bassline. An additional synth melody then comes in. A third sliding note synth also joins in.

From there, the back and forth vocals come in. Several of the recently introduced synth melodies make a return. After a synth effect, the track goes back into the main chorus again. The track then starts to break down for a moment before building up again. At the end of this, there is a key synth melody backed by a synth string that takes the track out completely.

One thing I do like about the track is that the main chorus is quite catchy. The lyrics, vocals, and various synths and the drum kit all come together to offer such a nice sound.

The synth solo also added to the track nicely.

One thing I would have liked to have heard is something to make the track distinct in some way. As it stands now, what is here isn’t bad. The problem is that I’m not hearing anything that would get me very excited about this track.

Overall, this isn’t a bad track. It has some good vocals and a nice catchy main chorus. While there isn’t much to make this a distinct track, what is here isn’t bad. So, a decent track all around.

Score
7/10
