Review: CeCe Peniston – Finally (House)

This review covers the house track CeCe Peniston – Finally.

This track was released in 1991 as a single.

The track starts with a general drum kit. The female vocals then come in for a moment. From there, the vocals take the track into the main chorus along with a string element. Part way through, the string element goes away and some keys join in. There is even an orchestral hit that pops in every so often.

After this, the vocals take the track into the next verse. It doesn’t take much and the vocals take the track back into the main chorus again. This is capped off with the vocals extending the chorus somewhat. After this, there is a piano solo. This element goes away, leaving just the drum kit.

The vocals as well as other elements make a return. After another hit, the vocals take the track into the main chorus again. When the main chorus starts to repeat, the track starts to fade out.

One of the strengths in this track is the vocals. They are able to belt out some pretty good words every so often, giving this track some good life.

The piano element is alright. It can be a bit on the repetitive side of things. Fortunately, the string elements add some variety to the track anyway.

The problem with this track is that it is largely the main chorus repeating over and over again. I could count all of one full verse in total. Otherwise, it is largely just the main chorus. So, depth in the lyrics can be a bit on the shallow side of things.

Overall, this is a pretty decent track. The piano can be a bit repetitive and the lyrics might be a bit thing. Still, the vocals are well done and the string elements do add a nice amount of variety to the track. So, a decent one all around.
