Welcome to the 118th instalment of our first impression video series. Today, we are playing the Playstation 3 game, Dead Space for the first time. You can check out the video directly on YouTube or in the embed below:

This is one of those games that I have been wanting to play for a while, but never could fit it into the schedule until now. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this game, so I was really curious to check this one out. Luckily, I was able to open up some time to play this one and see what it’s like actually playing this one.

Definitely an interesting concept to denote the health of the character with a visible part of the suit instead of putting it on the HUD. I didn’t mention it in the video, but it sort of reminds me of one of the weapons you have in Halo where the ammunition count is visible on the gun itself. So, interesting concept all around.

Either way, I’m definitely interested in continuing on with this game to say the least.

So, I wanted to hear from you. What did you think of this game? Was this definitely one of those classics that gamers really need to play at least once or was it overrated in your view?

For those who haven’t played this game, but played later instalments of this series, was this a really good game in your view or do you think later games were better?

Also, for those who have no experience with this franchise, does this look like an interesting game and something you just never got to or is this just not your style of game? Let us know in the comments below!

This video is part of our first impression video series. Below is a list of 50 of the previously made first impression video’s we’ve made in the past:
