Welcome to the 122nd instalment of our first impression video series. Today, we are playing the Playstation 3 game, Crysis 2 for the first time. You can check out the video directly on YouTube or in the embed below:

Ordinarily, I like to just play franchises in chronological order as best I can. Unfortunately, after looking for multiple years for the original Crysis game, I never found it. So, I just got tired of waiting for its availability and just decided to play this game instead. If I do ever manage to find the original Crysis game, cool, I can play it. If not, well, it is only one game and it’s not exactly the end of the world, either.

So, this is another one of those games where I pretty much knew nothing about going into it. I did pick up some interesting concepts in the first few minutes of playing where I loosely am reminded of features found in the Far Cry franchise. Things like throwing stuff and tagging enemies and items. So, it’ll be interesting to see how the game evolves from here to me.

For those who have played this game, what did you think of it? Was this a great game to play or does this come off as just another generic sci-fi shooter to you?

For those who have played other games in the franchise, but not this one, does this one look familiar to you or have there been design changes since then that make this seem different in ways?

Also, for those who haven’t played any of these games before, what did you think of this game? Does this look like an interesting game to play to you or is this not your style of shooter you like to play? Let us know in the comments below!
