Review: Total Science – Be My Twin (Drum N Bass) Drew Wilson | November 18, 2015 This review covers the drum n bass track, Total Science – Be My Twin. This track was released in 2006 on the album, Mars Needs… Total Science. One element I thought was particularly strong was the bassline and melody which winds up being one and the same for the most part. I thought it was catchy and uplifting. It works quite well and gives the track a neat sound. The beginning of this track does seem a bit drawn out with the vocals. While I’m not entirely sure what the vocals are singing out, they do give this track a sort of soul touch which wasn’t bad throughout the rest of the track. One element I thought that took away from this track throughout a bit was the high frequency sub-melody thrown in in the first portion of the track when the main bassline kicks in. I thought this could have been pulled back a little. If you get past that part, this track is quite solid. While not the most flawless track to listen to, it still wasn’t bad either.
