Review: The Smashing Pumpkins – 1979 (Rock)

This review covers the soft rock track The Smashing Pumpkins – 1979.

This track was released in 1995 on the album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.

One interesting effect in this track is the stuttered effect that pops in on occasion.

The vocals were not terrible, but they weren’t great either. My big criticism is the fact that lyrics become hard to understand from time to time. On the other hand, they weren’t particularly bad either.

The guitars in this track take on a rather acoustic sound. While an acoustic sound can give a track a nice and relaxing feeling, in this track, they don’t do anything particularly special. As a result, the whole track just sound bland.

Overall, the only thing that makes this track memorable was the stuttering effect that pokes through from time to time. Beyond that, the lyrics weren’t impressive and the guitars make the track sound bland. As a result of this, all I can say is that I would just pass over this track without much of a thought. Nothing too memorable.
