Review: Paragliders – Paragliders (Humate Remix) (Trance)

This review covers the trance track Paragliders – Paragliders (Humate Remix).

This track was released in 1994. Apparently, the track name is meant to be “Paraglide”.

The track starts with a synth pad and effect. A secondary synth pad comes in. Another synth effect comes in followed by a piano note. A synth string then comes in. From there, a high hat comes in along with a synth melody.

When another piano note comes in, the kick comes in. The synth pads drop out and a synth melody comes in along with a bassline. A secondary melody then comes in with automated filtering. Some synth string comes in shortly after. The kick then drops out.

From there, the drop hits and all that’s left is a piano layered with some subtle chime element. Some synth pads also back the track. A synth melody then fades in. The kick then comes in, bringing in a few other elements in the process including a chime melody. A high hat then comes in. A snare roll ends the section.

The piano and several other elements drop out, leaving only some synth pads and a synth melody. The drum kit then comes back fully. A secondary synth melody makes an appearance again. Some synth pads also start to fade in. The piano follows suit shortly after. The lower note piano also comes back.

After that, some elements then start to drop out, leaving largely just the melodic elements. A synth effect meets the last of the piano. The synth pads then lead the track out.

One thing I do like about the track is the main piano melody. This works quite well and makes the track interesting in and of itself.

To make the track even better, this track has a number of synth melodies that add some dimension to the overall sound. They may be simple for the most part, but the layering of these melodies works quite well.

I also thought the pads made the dropped sections sound quite deep. They work quite well in the quieter parts, but also give some warmth to the more energetic sections.

Overall, this is a pretty solid track. It’s got some interesting melodies and synth pads going on. I like the drops and the higher energy parts as well. There’s really not a whole lot to complain about in this track. So, a pretty good one to listen to.
