Review: Machinae Supremacy – Cryosleep (Rock)

This review covers the rock track Machinae Supremacy – Cryosleep.

This track was released in 2002 on the bands official website for free.

The person talking at the beginning talks about most of your brain being essentially inactive except for a small portion of it. It does remind me of the famous 10% of brain myth. Later comments put in does discuss unlocking this sort of power in the unused portions of the brain.

What ultimately ensues is an interesting blend of rock and electronica elements. This includes what sounds like synth string and some basic synth instruments.

This track is quite progressive and has a definite full fledged melody throughout this track. One thing to note is the fact that its instrumental – which is something I personally don’t mind given the other genre’s I listen to and review regularly. There is definitely an interesting emotion throughout this track – mainly a desperate need to scape.

Overall, I thought this was a great track. It has good emotion and a nice blend of electronic elements with rock. The level are nice and this track also has good flow. So, a recommended listen.
