Review: Linkin Park – Faint (Rock) Drew Wilson | July 1, 2015 This review covers the rock track Linkin Park – Faint. This track was released in 2003 on the album Meteora. Like a number of Linkin Park tracks, this track blends rock and rap. This track does so quite successfully. The overall mood of this track is generally motivational breakthrough. One great element was the cinematic guitars that pretty much wallpapers the entire track. They serve as the main melody throughout the track and really raises the overall perceived volume of the track. Given the overall mood this track tries to set, this is actually quite fitting. The vocals really deliver in their own respects. The rapping works really well in the quieter parts of the track. The other vocals works well with the louder elements. Both of these blend seamlessly together to produce a nice dynamic sound overall. Overall, this track really works well. I can’t really think of anything that stands out as a negative in this track. It provides a mood to great effect and the rapping and rock elements are nicely working together to form on cohesive track. A great one to listen to.
