Review: L Plus – Taking Me Higher (Drum N Bass) Drew Wilson | April 26, 2017 This review covers the liquid drum n bass track L Plus – Taking Me Higher. This track was released in 2012 on the Amazing EP. The EP contains 3 other tracks. A great feature of this track was definitely the main melody. The synth was pretty good and the subtle wobble in the pitch of the synth worked quite nicely. Vocals also worked quite nicely in this track. They added some interesting dimension to the overall sound. It was interesting to hear so many elements blend so smoothly together. As a result, you had that sense of being on an audio journey where you get to hear plenty of different sounds throughout. Some parts of it were OK, but other parts were very good. My only complaint about this track, and it’s a very small one, was that sometimes the “reese” sound may have been a touch overbearing at times – mainly in the mid-frequencies. This only happens when all of the elements are brought together in the chorus, though. Overall, this was definitely a solid track. It has a lot going for it and my complaints are few and far between. A pretty good track overall. Score 7/10 Drew Wilson on Twitter: @icecube85 and Google+.
