Review: Jawbox – Savory (Rock) Drew Wilson | November 17, 2021 This review covers the rock track Jawbox – Savory. This track was released in 1994 on the album For Your Own Special Sweetheart. The track starts with some guitars. A lead guitar makes an appearance. The vocals then come in for a verse. The vocals then take the track into the next verse. After that, there is an instrumental section. The vocals then return for a bit before another instrumental section. After that, the vocals then take the track into the next round in the main chorus. After that, there is a brief instrumental section before the vocals continue. The guitars then continue the track. After a bit, the guitars lead the track out. For me, this is one of those tracks where I just don’t get. To me, some of the lyrics get lost in the mix. It may be because of it that I don’t really get the lyrics at all. The guitar work is decent enough, but I’m not so certain it is enough to really save this track. Overall, this is a pretty mediocre track. The lyrics get lost in the mix from time to time. What’s left over is hard to really decipher. The guitar work is decent enough, but nothing huge. A very average track. Score 5.5/10 Drew Wilson on Twitter: @icecube85 and Facebook.
