Review: Inhaler feat. Christian Burns ‎– Something About You (MDE Edit) (House)

This review covers the progressive house track Inhaler feat. Christian Burns ‎– Something About You (MDE Edit).

This track was released in 2009 as part of a single. We previously reviewed the MDE Extended Mix and that got quite a great score. So, we thought we’d try this version to see if it’s just as good.

The vocals start the track along with some electric guitars. After this, the track drops and the vocals continue. The electric guitars build the track up. From there, the drum kit continues as the vocals take the track into the main chorus. A synth melody then comes in.

After some kicks, the track backs off. The vocals then take the track into the next verse. An added snare comes in. From there, a synth effect comes in as the vocals take the track into the main chorus. The vocals then get cut off with a delay effect.

From there, a synth melody comes in. After this, the vocals come in to continue on with verse work. The electric guitar also gradually comes in. After a brief drop, the vocals then take the track into the next round of the main chorus. This section is capped off with an electric guitar instrumental section and some extended vocals. From there, the track then drops out.

I get that this is supposed to be a shortened version of the extended mix. Unfortunately, some of the quality drops because of it.

Still, a lot of what makes this track is retained here. The electric guitars and great vocals are still there. Some of the build ups and drops are still there. A lot of those instrumental sections and synth melodies are also still here.

So, while the shortening of the track may have let the quality suffer a little, it is still a great track. A lot of what makes the track great is retained here. The electric guitars and great vocals all work out still. So, a great track overall if you ask me.

Score
8/10
