Review: Hellsystem – Blood (Tha Playah Remix) (Hardcore)

This review covers the gabber hardcore track Hellsystem – Blood (Tha Playah Remix).

This track was released in 2012 on the album Devil Face.

One of the major components of the track is the melody. The main chorded melody not only serves as the melody, but also as a driver for rhythm as well. This really served the track well.

The voice samples also worked quite well in conveying emotion. That emotion is bubbling anger with a thirst of revenge. What I like about it is the fact the samples prove you can have anger without screaming. Because of this, you get that sense of creativity in the track.

The effects also added a nice variety to the track. Some of these effects even serve as a sub-melody from time to time. In addition to this, there are occasional edits to the main kick. It not only prevents the auto-pilot feeling, but also enhances the sound in interesting ways.

Mastering was well done as well. Nothing really got drowned out and nothing was overpowering either. The overall flow of the track was well done as well.

Generally speaking, I found this to be a very well produced track. It has a nicely done duel-purpose melody. The samples employed worked quite well because it added a nicely realized layer of emotion. Even the production value was nicely done. A track that gets two thumbs up from me.

Score
7.5/10
