This review covers the rock track Firehouse – When I Look Into Your Eyes.
This track was released in 1992 as a single.
The track starts with a guitar and a piano. Shortly after, the vocals start with a first verse.
From there, the track builds up with some lead guitars as the vocals take the track into the first round in the main chorus. This is capped off with an instrumental section with an emphasis on the piano.
In the next section, the vocals take the track into the next verse. Shortly after, the vocals take the track into the next round in the main chorus. This version of the main chorus is extended somewhat as the guitar solo comes in.
From there, the vocals take the track into the next round of the main chorus. Some notes are a bit higher then the first few rounds. The vocals then repeat elements of the main chorus as the piano leads the track out.
The main chorus is pretty decent. For me, the lyrics don’t quite go into the territory of being a cliche, but it does utilize from very worn lyrics.
A problem I have with the track is that the lyrics are a bit skimpy. It’s basically two verses and four rounds of the main chorus. So, it’s difficult to get much in the way of meaning.
The piano elements are alright and the guitars used are pretty decent.
So, overall, this is an alright track. It has some reasonably positive aspects such as the piano and guitars. I have some mixed feelings about the main chorus as it sounds good, but the lyrics are a bit worn. The lyrics, meanwhile, are a bit on the skimpy side. Overall, an alright track, but one with its flaws.
