Review: Evil Activities – Nobody Said it was Easy (Hardcore) Drew Wilson | December 24, 2014 This review covers the hardcore track Evil Activities – Nobody Said it was Easy. This track was released in 2008 along with the track Raw to the Floor. This track is noted for using elements from the track Coldplay – The Scientist, but having heard both tracks, I know that, by elements, they mean the lyrics and the melody. The lyrics were sung by someone else and a different piano is used. The lyrics themselves are more abbreviated as well. On that note, I have to say that this track makes the original Coldplay track sound amateurish in my opinion. I liked this one a lot more. One thing to note about this track is that it blends two unlikely styles together: hardcore and melodic soft rock. Amazingly, not only was this successfully blended together in this track, but masterfully fused together to provide listeners with a very interesting listening experience. My only criticism is that this track wasn’t titled a remix. In my view, this is technically a remix, but it isn’t labelled as such. I couldn’t find fault with the track itself, but the title just doesn’t strike me as correct necessarily. In my opinion, this was an excellent track to listen to. It rivals the top notch quality I’ve heard with the track Catscan – My First Response which really speaks to how good this track is in my opinion. A highly recommended track.
