Review: Endymion – Abduction (Gabber Hardcore)

By Drew Wilson

This review covers the gabber hardcore track Endymion – Abduction.

This particular track was released in 2009 along with three other tracks.

This track is certainly one of those tracks that is a shining example of what gabber hardcore is about. Throughout this dark track is packed with raw seething rage. In this case, this track has probably the most vivid examples of female rage I’ve personally heard.

The amount of pure rage that practically drips throughout this track is at a level that can be far too much for some to handle. This is best reserved for those who are in the foulest of moods and need an outlet to vent. The nearly psychotic drive for revenge is at the point of being freaky just in the vocal samples alone. As if that wasn’t enough, there is melody, atmospherics, and other effects thrown in just to punctuate the raw emotion that much further.

While this track is definitely not for everyone, that doesn’t take a whole lot away from the production quality of this track. This is top notch stuff with no one element really drowning out the other – something that can certainly be difficult thanks to the demands of what some expect from a hardcore track to begin with. Everything is nicely balanced out, the emotion is there, and there’s not really much to nitpick. This is definitely a great track.
