Review: Dogzilla – Frozen (Original Mix) (Progressive Trance)

By Drew Wilson

This review covers the progressive trance track Dogzilla – Frozen (Original Mix).

This track was released in 2007 and would ultimately be the last release by the group.

The first thing that is noticeable about this track is the rock influence embedded in the trance. While it was well done, the track really takes off by the time the vocals come in which has some piano keys backing them. By the time all of these elements mix together, it really becomes apparent that this track is incredibly strong and passionate.

What really sets this track apart from many others is the fact that not only is the melody evolves throughout the track, but the lyrics are far deeper and more well developed than many other trance tracks. No element really covers up another element and everything is in harmony with the other. In fact, this track is so well produced, you don’t even notice the fact that by the time you finish hearing the track, over eight and a half minutes have passed.

I honestly can’t find anything I can nitpick about this track. It’s emotional, it constantly evolves throughout, there’s no weak spots, there, well, there’s nothing I can say negative about this track. It’s an incredibly well produced track and one of the few tracks I think deserves a perfect score. It’s well earned.

Score

10/10
