This review covers the psytrance track Astrix – Lost Inside.
This particular track was released in 2008 on the album One Step Ahead.
One thing I found in this track while listening to it was that there’s no one thing that really stands out for me in this track. There area lot of interesting elements from the effects to the voice samples to the small collection of major melodies.
One drawback of this track was actually one of the breakdowns where there was just dead silence with only a few little synths. I thought this section lasted a little too long in this track, though it does eventually built up to something interesting again in this track.
Beyond the one breakdown, I thought this track really worked well. I never really found myself bored with any one portion of this track. It was basically one large journey through sound.
So, overall, if it weren’t for that one long breakdown, I would’ve given this track a 7.5. Still, though, it’s definitely worth listening to. A track that receives a thumbs up from me.
