Welcome to the 192nd instalment of our first impression video series. Today, we are playing the PC/Steam game, Payday 2 for the first time. You can check out the video directly on YouTube or in the embed below:
For those who like reading descriptions, this is basically the last game I have in my Steam library. You can check out the entire collection I built up back in 2019 and 2020 here.
It’s been quite a run. I know there are lots of other Steam games out there, but I wanted to hear from you. What did you think of my efforts to try and collect games made in 2015 and earlier for Steam? Was that a great selection of games or did you think I ignored too much in the given release years?
Also, in case you are wondering, yes, I hope that, someday, I’ll be getting back into Steam games in a second run. The idea is to take the number of games I have already played and reach 100 (and I’m already most of the way there). The thing is, there are other platforms for games I want to check out, so this aspect will be retiring on the channel for now.
As for the game itself, one of the things I was curious about is whether this game improved on some of the flaws that were found in the previous game. So far, I was able to find that there are some improvements, but certainly had some flaws so far. Of course, I’ll be looking forward to getting further into the game to see if the positives outweigh the negatives.
For those who have played this game, what did you think of this game generally? Was this a fun arcade style game to play or did the game leave you feeling like it was a bit lacking?
For those who have played other Payday games, but not this one, what did you think of what you saw in the video? Does this look like a game you have been wanting to play and this only makes you more interested or is the Payday formula not really for you?
