The Wiki is continuing to expand. Today, we are announcing the completion of another archive currently available on there.
At the beginning of the month, we announced the October Wiki content patch. On there, we announced an expansion to the Wiki pages for the show, Always Alive.
Today, we are announcing that we have now completed the Always Alive podcast. This show features 160 episodes spanning more than 200 hours of documented music.
This show was certainly one of the more tricky shows to archive. No one site in our research had a complete accounting of every episode. In fact, every site that we encountered only featured bits and pieces here and there. As a result, some playlists were impossible to find. We were, however, successful in doing some deep searching and retrieved a number of “lost” episodes. Thanks to our efforts, only 5 episodes have absolutely no information associated with them (one or two episodes may have been skipped altogether and never existed at all).
Still, there are plenty of episodes that have pieces of missing information. Whether it is no tracklist and a recording, a tracklist and no recording, or simply a date associated with that episode, gathering the episodes and offering complete information proved very difficult. So, for this show, we included a list of episodes that have generally fairly complete information above the whole archive. This is to help make navigation easier for those who are curious about the show itself and not necessarily looking for every scrap we could find. The included episodes features a reasonably complete playlist and a recording that is publicly available for streaming. Those were the requirements to get added to that particular list.
As a result of our efforts, though, we are confident that the archive features the single most complete collection of information available for the show to date. It may not be perfect, but you’ll be hard pressed to find a more complete archive of the show today. We hope you enjoy the fruits of our efforts here.
