Top 10 Best Music Reviewed in 2022

After three top 10 lists, we’ve reached the end of this years honours. We still have one left to go: the top 10 best music tracks reviewed in 2022.

So, while we’ve seen our fair share of duds this year, there were plenty of tracks that stood out for us this year. In fact, it ended up being very difficult to decide which track is the best of the best. In fact, this years list is highly competitive. How competitive? A mere 0.5 separates the 10th best track and the number 1 spot. So, some positions came down to splitting hairs in terms of quality. So, let’s get to the last one for 2022. It’s the best track’s we’ve heard throughout 2022.

10. Robert Miles – Children (Dream Vrs.)

(Commercial)
Probably one of the most famous earlier trance tracks. This track features melodic piano, guitar elements and dream-like synths. As such, this emotional track manages to snag a spot on this list.
8/10

9. Smith & Pledger – Forever (Original Vocal Mix)

(Commercial)
Two great producers come together to produce a melodic vocal trance track that is on a level all on its own. The backing synth melodies helps make this track stand out.
8/10

8. Grindstone – Threshold

(Commercial)
A track that features quite a good buildup at the start. From there, it delivers on powerful heavy guitar riffs and interesting vocals. Definitely a track worth listening to.
8/10

7. Interactive – Set Me Free

(RIAA)
A pulsing eurohouse track that features some high energy melodies and some interesting vocal samples. This track has quite an addicting nature to it, so it certainly belongs on this years list.
8/10

6. Grand Theft Audio – As Good As it Gets

(RIAA)
This is another one of those male female duel vocal tracks. This time, it is mixed down into a great rock track. No wonder game developers found this track to be worthy of inclusion.
8/10

5. Airbase – Roots (Andy Blueman Remix)

(Unknown)
While we couldn’t verify if this is an official release or not, this track certainly is an impressive one. The impressive melodies throughout the track really makes this one a winner in this years top 5.
8/10

4. “Weird Al” Yankovic – The Night Santa Went Crazy

(RIAA)
Comedy isn’t a very common sight on our lists, but this one is definitely worth listening to. This track features immature humour that somehow manages to be incredibly amusing. The enthusiasm behind the vocals certainly didn’t hurt anything either.
8/10

3. ATB – Feel Alive (Airplay Mix)

(Commercial)
You could almost confuse this with being a rock track. The more live drum kit and guitars throughout certainly makes this sound like a rock track. Still, this is ultimately a fantastic trance track with synths and piano elements. The refreshing and uplifting vocals propels this track into the top 3.
8/10

2. Black Light Posterboys – If the Animals Could Talk

(Commercial)
Bonus points for creativity for this one. This track features great guitar work and nicely done vocals. The unusual themes that ultimately work quite well helped make this track be the runner up for this years best track we’ve heard.
8.5/10

1. Dave202 – Departure (Club Mix)

(Commercial)
While this years track didn’t win by much, a win is a win, right? This track features amazing melodies, emotional guitars, and top notch piano work. All of this mixed down into a truly impressive trance track. The raw majestic sound really helped make this track edge out all others for this years best track we’ve heard.
8.5/10

This concludes yet another year for top 10 lists. We hope you enjoy these tracks as much as we enjoyed making it. Here’s to another great year of music!
