Review: Queens of the Stone Age – No One Knows (Rock)

This review covers the rock track Queens of the Stone Age – No One Knows.

This track was released in 2002 on the album Songs for the Deaf.

Some credit this track for having “killer” guitar riffs, though I personally wouldn’t go that far. This track does have decent guitars going on in it.

The chorus is probably the best part on the instrument side which makes this track have decent qualities.

This track, though, has a very big negative – the vocals. I couldn’t understand half of the lyrics as it was mostly unintelligible. As a result, I have no idea what this track was even about. The sound in the overall vocals besides being unintelligible just ruins the listening experience for me. If the vocals of this track didn’t exist, I would have given this track about a 6, but because of this element, the score is way lower.

Generally speaking, this is one of those tracks where one element completely wrecks the whole track. The guitars and instrumental side was decent enough, but the vocals completely wrecked the overall listening experience. Because of this, i would say that this track just doesn’t cut it.

Score
4/10
